150° anniversario dell'unità d'Italia
SPECIALE "NOTTE TRICOLORE"

Il 16 marzo 2011 le tre capitali d'Italia - Roma, Torino e Firenze - e tutti gli altri Comuni festeggeranno insieme il centocinquantesimo anniversario dell'unità d'Italia con la "Notte tricolore". L'evento sarà l'occasione per unire gli italiani in un momento di festa e di riflessione, aspettando l'arrivo del 17 marzo. Sarà possibile visitare musei e luoghi di fruizione culturale e, nelle piazze principali, ascoltare musica dal vivo e guardare i fuochi d'artificio.

L'apertura gratuita dei musei e degli altri spazi culturali a disposizione dei Comuni italiani garantirà la presenza di spazi di aggregazione e incontro a disposizione di tutti i cittadini. Consentirà inoltre ai turisti stranieri di partecipare alle celebrazioni. Si terranno poi concerti nelle piazze pubbliche di tutte le grandi città. Gli eventi musicali all'aperto coinvolgeranno le bande comunali, i gruppi locali, i cori.

Allo scoccare della mezzanotte verrà eseguito pubblicamente l'inno nazionale e, in successione, ci saranno spettacoli pirotecnici per salutare l'arrivo del 17 marzo. In molti Comuni verrà esposto il Tricolore ovunque possibile e in particolare sugli edifici pubblici maggiormente rappresentativi.

Lamb of God’s Chris Adler
Eleven City Drum Clinic Tour



Mapex Drums is pleased to announce the upcoming Chris Adler clinic tour, “A Throne with a View” which will take him through the country this winter, beginning February 28th and ending on March 16th, 2011. Adler appeared at the prestigious Modern Drummer Festival in 2005 and performed a “Battle” clinic tour with his brother Willie Adler across Europe in 2008. “A Throne with a View” will be his first and only U.S. clinic tour in 2011.

Adler’s limited appearances are different from many drum clinics. “My goal is to share my experiences on and off my drum kit through interaction with those in attendance. Of course, I will be playing and giving tips, but I will be far more focused on the story that got me where I am than the notion of impressing anyone,” says Chris. He adds, “I've found that most fans and young players want to know how I got to where I am, not the tech specs.”

On this tour, Adler will be playing on the all-new Black Panther “Blaster” drum kit. Mapex introduced the Black Panther Drum Collection in January at the NAMM show in Anaheim, CA and this will be the first opportunity for many fans to see and hear it. The Blaster kit features a unique maple and walnut shell design and is the first in a series of new drum sets based on Mapex Drums’ popular series of Black Panther Snare Drums.
