Natal Drums news from the Musikmesse 2013

As you may already know the Marshall name is synonymous with guitar amplification. What you will probably not know is that the founder of Marshall Amplification, Jim Marshall OBE, was in fact a drummer and a drum teacher. Jim was as passionate about drums as he was about amps.

Meinl Percussion presents new stuff from Musikmesse 2013

Roland Meinl fonda la Roland Meinl Musikinstrumente in Germania nel 1951. Durante i primi anni di attività, Roland crea personalmente i primi prodotti usando pochi attrezzi e li porta in bicicletta alla stazione ferroviaria del suo paese per spedirli ai clienti. Il primo impiegato viene assunto nel 1964.

Mapex Drums new 2013 products

Un uomo si rivolge a un altro, scuotendo la testa per lo stupore, e dice: “Sai, non mi aspettavo una simile cura realizzativa per i dettagli”.

Questa scena si è verificata molte volte tra i rivenditori che hanno recentemente visitato la nostra fabbrica a Tianjin, in Cina. I nostri graditi ospiti hanno scoperto da loro che le batterie Mapex sono realizzate grazie all’intervento di centinaia di impiegati specializzati che applicano con precisione il lotro talento.

Gon Bops

The Gon Bops legend began in early 1950’s California. During that era, Mariano Bobadilla and Tom Flores were the most highly regarded conga builders in the percussion industry. Tom founded Valje Drums and crafted some of the most sought after Afro-Cuban instruments in the US, while Mariano founded Gon Bops, one of the oldest and most respected manufacturers of Latin instruments in the world.

Flores concentrated on small, handcrafted wooden stave selection, and moved his design away from the original Cuban shape of the instrument. He focused heavily on air drying the drum staves and scoring the interior to prevent cracking and allow flexibility. He was certainly at the forefront of the industry and his drums were quickly in demand by the best players in the world.

Yamaha presents the new DTX 562 drum kit with the DTX 502 Module

The DTX562K features all DTX-PADs for snare and toms plus our large hi-hat pad with included stand and large 3-zone cymbal pads for outstanding playability.
The response of the DTX-PADs has been precisely tuned to provide a natural feeling and playability around the entire kit and to integrate comfortably into a hybrid acoustic-electronic kit. The DTX502 module includes 691 drum, percussion and effect sounds for any musical situation and offers comprehensive training functions, practice songs, and easy MIDI recording. The USB port allows plug and play control of VSTi software and lets you import custom wave files.

ATTACK™ Drumheads offre una linea completa di pelli di qualità con  finiture clear, nero, bianco e smooth white. La maggior parte dei modelli sono disponibili in un unico strato (più sonoro dell’ordinario) o doppio strato, con la doppia piega disponibile in 2 pesi diversi. Tra le linee disponibili spicca quella completa di Terry Bozzio, monostrato con pellicola di Mylar Dupont S, e Charlie Adams e Bobby Rondinelli che firmano altre due linee . Tutte le pelli ATTACK  sono realizzate con un rivestimento Duracoat USA e il blocco del cerchio in acciaio è  garantito a vita.Le pelli ATTACK™ sono importate in Italia dalla ditta BOMAP di Bologna, che ha nel suo gruppo molti altri marchi, sempre per batteristi.

Premier new products 
at Musikmesse 2013

Premier ha rinnovato la propria serie APK e ridisegnato il look presentandolo al NAMM Show prima ed al Musikmesse poi.

La serie APK sarà lanciata in due modelli distinti: APK, che offre configurazioni moderne e standard, e APK Heritage, progettata per offrire più classici e tradizionali set-up. La Serie APK è caratterizzata da fusti a 6 strati di betulla per un suono più corposo adatto a qualsiasi genere musicale.
Piena di funzioni, la gamma APK comprende nuovi e migliorati tiranti e un sistema di montaggio ISO cromato.

La Heritage APK presenta un rullante in betulla mentre l’APK viene fornita di serie con un rullante in acciaio.

Come la nuova XPK, anche la APK presenta le medesime piccole caratteristiche quali attacchi die-cast pressofusi con plinti di protezione in gomma e cerchi in acciaio a tripla flangia.

Un altro prodotto presentato a Francoforte è stata la Serie One. La serieOne è interamente prodotta in Inghilterra e ogni singolo prodottoè veramente unico, il che permette di ottenere da Premier un emozionante,esclusivoe maiduplicato strumento. La Premier con la serieOneutilizzaleimpiallacciaturepiù interessanti attualmente disponibili al mondo, questo per creare prodotti tra i più ricercati nel mercato di oggi.
